CMC Newcomers

Welcome to Canada,  are you new to Edmonton? Or do you know someone who is new to our city? Whether you’re from the Caribbean or Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, or the Middle-East, the Citadel Multicultural Centre provide a number of services to help newcomers feel welcome and settled into Edmonton with less rigor. 
 
At the Citadel Multicultural Centre, our group of volunteers comes with a variety of skills, knowledge, and resources, and they are willing to share. If we have what you need, we invite you to come in and get it.
We provide newcomers with Personal Care Packs, Food Hampers, Household Items, and life-saving clothing based on available resources.
We have programs for newcomers with language barriers (including translation services and resume workshops).
We also provide educational programs: musical instruments lessons, internet safety seminars, leadership training, career, and business development workshops.
We have information sessions every Sunday between 2 pm – 3 pm. We invite you to drop in.

 

Multicultural Networking

Diversity and inclusion are the bedrock of the Citadel Multicultural Centre, and we are here to make you feel at home. Our facilitators strives to build a community that is supportive of its many culturally and socially diverse groups.
 
We aim to be welcoming, inclusive and cohesive. Out Goal is for our community to be inclusive for both new comers and all other citizens. We are doing everything within our power to make this happen.
We give newcomers access to a network of more than 50 culturally diverse communities who are willing to help in various capacities. This initiative help to reduce isolation and promotes inclusion. 
To connect newcomers with organizations who provide what they need.

CMC New Immigrant Support Center is collaborating in partnership with TCIC New Immigrant Support Centre to assist Newcomers to Alberta.
If you are a newcomer to Alberta who is facing barriers to a stress-free settlement in Alberta, we are help to help you. Your next step is to complete our Newcomers assessment form, and one of our capable representatives will get back to you shortly.

Free Workshop for New Immigrants to Canada

 Saturday, October 19th at 1:00pm 

If you are new to the country and seeking tips on how to land the perfect job, you must attend this workshop. Refreshments will be provided.
